Bentley Women Celebrate Senior Day with 9th Straight Win

WALTHAM, Mass. – The Bentley University women's swimming and diving team captured 11 of 13 events for a 111-110 Senior Day win over Pace University and its ninth consecutive dual victory Sunday afternoon at the Dana Center pool.

Seniors Dariana Gonzalez (Stamford, Conn./Westhill HS), Marissa Adamo (Hackettstown, N.J./Mount Olive HS) and Jennifer Chen (Darien, Conn./Darien HS) were part of both winning relays for the Falcons. They combined with sophomore Jordan Nuzback (Fairview, Pa./McDowell HS) to win the 400 medley in 4:17.31 and with senior Kate Galvin (Suffern, N.Y./Suffern HS) to take the 400 free in 3:46.31.

Double-winners for Bentley were junior Emma Hapkiewicz (South Windsor, Conn./South Windsor HS) and freshman Lily Rice (Walton, Ky./Larry A. Ryle HS). Hapkiewicz captured the distance races with times of 10:57.11 in the 1000 free and 5:15.94 in the 500. Rice doubled in the 200 individual medley (2:19.71) and the 200 butterfly (2:15.73).

Senior Mary Huminski (Madison, Conn./Daniel Hand HS) posted the second-best score in the Northeast-10 this season, 278.47, while winning the three-meter diving by 6.53 points. In the 200 back, the 2:10.80 posted by freshman Taylor White (Warwick, Bermuda/Warwick Academy) was also good for second on the NE10 performance list.

Bentley's other individual winners were Galvin in the 50 free (25.58), sophomore Hilla Almog (Wayland/Wayland HS) in the one-meter diving (287.55) and freshman Morgan Kingsley (Cazenovia, N.Y./Cazenovia HS) in the 200 breaststroke (2:31.48).

Bentley, 9-1, will close out the dual schedule Wednesday at Bridgewater State.
