Bentley Distributes the Wins in a 171-87 Victory over Adelphi

WALTHAM, Mass. – Nine different student-athletes turned in winning performances as the Bentley University women's swimming and diving team improved to 7-1 with a 171-87 victory over Adelphi University Thursday in the Dana Center pool. The Falcons won 15 of 16 events and have now won seven consecutive dual meets.

Double-winners for coach Mary Kay Samko's team were junior Emma Hapkiewicz (South Windsor, Conn./South Windsor HS), freshman Taylor White (Warwick, Bermuda/Warwick Academy) and seniors Marissa Adamo (Hackettstown, N.J./Mount Olive HS) and Dariana Gonzales (Stamford, Conn./Westhill HS).

Hapkiewicz, who was part of the Falcons' winning 200 free relay team, took first in the two distance races with times of 11:05.89 in the 1000 freestyle and 5:28.15 in the 500 free. White led a 1-2-3 Bentley finish in the 200 free with a 1:59.78 and was the first to the wall in the 400 individual medley (4:49.08).

Adamo captured the 50 free in 26.21 seconds and did the same in the 100 free with a 57.54. Gonzales, part of the Falcons' 200 medley relay that won in 1:57.48, swept the backstroke races with times of 1:00.47 in the 100 and 2:11.87 in the 200.

Other winners for Bentley were freshman Grace Motisi (Ellington, Conn./Ellington HS) in the 100 breaststroke (1:11.84), sophomore Jordan Nuzback (Fairview, Pa./McDowell HS) in the 200 butterfly (2:17.03), sophomore Hilla Almog (Wayland/Wayland HS) in the one-meter diving (266.63), freshman Morgan Kingsley (Cazenovia, N.Y./Cazenovia HS) in the 2:33.26 and freshman Caroline Ubert (Columbus, Ohio/Upper Arlington HS) in the 100 fly (1:03.59).

Bentley will return to action Tuesday with a 7 pm meet at Babson College.
