Four Bentley Swimmers & Divers Recognized by Northeast-10

WALTHAM, Mass. – Junior Emma Hapkiewicz (South Windsor, Conn./South Windsor HS), graduate student Jeremy Glick (South Windsor, Conn./South Windsor HA), sophomore Hilla Almog (Wayland/Wayland HS) and freshman Morgan Cazenovia, N.Y./Cazenovia HS) have been recognized by the Northeast-10 Conference for their performance in the Gompei Invitational at WPI.

Hapkiewicz was named the Northeast-10 Women's Swimmer of the Week for the second time, Glick was tabbed as the Men's Diver of the Week for the second time, Almog was selected for her third NE10 Women's Diver of the Week award and Kingsley was the choice for NE10 Women's Rookie of the Week accolades for the third time.

Hapkiewicz posted the Northeast-10's fastest times of the season in the 500 yard freestyle (5:08.53), the 1650 free (17:38.90), the 400 free relay (3:37.37) and the 800 free relay (8:00.87), as well as the second best 200 free relay (1:40.18) and fourth best 200 free (1:59.08) times. She finished fourth in the 1650 free, fifth in the 500 free, 800 free relay and 400 free relay, eighth in the 200 free relay, 17th in the 200 free and 24th in the 100 back.

Almog swept the women's diving during the meet with both her scores NE10 season-bests for 11 dives. She captured the one-meter by 22.70 points with a 371.55 and the three-meter by 0.85 points with a 366.75.

Glick was sixth in the one-meter diving (367.10), eighth in the three-meter diving (296.40) and eighth in the synchronized diving. His three-meter score was an NE10 season best for 11 dives and his one-meter score ranked second in the conference to date.

Kingsley moved to number one on the NE-10 performance list in the 200 breaststroke (2:28.14), the 100 individual medley (1:02.68) and the 400 medley relay (4:03.04), and to second in both the 100 breast (1:07.73) and the 200 medley relay (1:51.10). Her highest finish was a fourth in the 100 IM. She was also fifth in the 100 breast, sixth in the 200 breast, eighth in the 200 medley relay and the 400 medley relay, tenth in the 200 mixed medley relay (1:44.31), 15th in the 200 free relay, 19th in the 200 mixed free relay (1:36.98), 28th in the 400 free relay (3:53.22) and 31st in the 50 free (28.06).

The Northeast-10 Weekly Honor Roll included senior Tanner Eisenhut (Jamesville, N.Y./Fayetteville-Manlius HS) who was competing in his final collegiate meet before graduating later this month.

Eisenhut finished first in both the 200 breaststroke (2:06.33) and the 100 breast (57.30) while breaking the school record with a third-place finish in the 100 individual medley (52.54 finals, 52.28 prelims). He also was second in the 400 mixed free relay (3:25.25), fourth in the 200 IM (1:55.10), fifth in both the 800 free relay (7:07.44) and the 400 free relay (3:11.44), sixth in the 400 medley relay (3:30.79), seventh in the 200 medley relay (1:35.55), ninth in the 200 free relay (1:28.12) and 13th in the 200 mixed medley relay (1:45.19). His times in the 100 IM, the 200 medley relay and the 800 free relay were Northeast-10 season bests, and he moved to second on the NE10 performance list in the 200 IM, 200 breast, 100 breast and 400 medley relay.

The Bentley divers will compete in the Pace Invitational Saturday and the swimmers will be off until January.
