Almog & Kingsley Among Bentley’s Weekly Honorees

WALTHAM, Mass. – For the second time in three weeks, Bentley University's Hilla Almog (Wayland/Wayland HS) and Morgan Kingsley (Cazenovia, N.Y./Cazenovia HS) have both been honored by the Northeast-10 Conference. Almog was tabbed as the NE10 Women's Diver of the Week and Kingsley was the choice for NE10 Women's Rookie of the Week.

In addition, Bentley was selected for the NE10 Women's Relay Team of the Week for the fourth consecutive week.

In a dual win against Brandeis, Almog posted the Northeast-10's best scores so far this season for five dives (191.95) and six dives (263.10). The sophomore was first in both events and had a combined score of 455.05 points.

Kingsley, a freshman, swept the two breaststroke events against the Judges with times of 1:10.52 in the 100 and 2:31.20 in the 200. She was also fourth in the 200 individual medley (2:22.28) and part of the Falcons' 200 medley relay team that was third in 1:54.94.

Bentley swam the 200 free relay against Brandeis in 1:42.25 and finished just 0.17 seconds back of the Judges. The Falcons were overtaken on the final leg after leading most of the race. Junior Emma Hapkiewicz (South Windsor, Conn./South Windsor HS) was joined on the team by seniors Dariana Gonzales (Stamford, Conn./Westhill HS), Marissa Adamo (Hackettstown, N.J./Mount Olive HS) and Kate Galvin (Suffern, N.Y./Suffern HS).

Hapkiewicz was also included on the NE10 Weekly Honor Roll. In addition to her performance in the relay, she took first in the two distance races with times of 10:57.09 in the 1000 yard freestyle and 5:20.22 in the 500 free. She also was second in the 200 free (2:00.43).

Bentley will be looking for its fifth consecutive win Saturday at home against Keene State.
