Bentley Sweeps NE10 Women’s Swimming & Diving Awards

WALTHAM, Mass. – Following road wins against Le Moyne College and The College of Saint Rose, Bentley University swept the weekly women's swimming awards in the Northeast-10 Conference.

Senior Dariana Gonzales (Stamford, Conn./Westhill HS) was named the NE10 Women's Swimmer of the Week, sophomore Hilla Almog (Wayland/Wayland HS) was tabbed as the Women's Diver of the Week, and Women's Rookie of the Week honors went to Morgan Kingsley (Cazenovia, N.Y./Cazenovia HS). Bentley also had the NE10 Women's Relay Team for the second consecutive week.

In the two meets, Gonzales won three individual races and helped Bentley to first place showings in three relays. At Le Moyne, she swam the 100 backstroke in an NE10-best 1:01.39, won the 200 back in 2:13.60 and was part of the Falcons' 400 medley relay team that finished in a conference-best 4:06.36. The latter was her third conference-best performance of the weekend.

Almog met the NCAA Division II qualifying mark with a 428.50 one-meter, 11-dive score at Le Moyne while placing first in the six-dive competition and second in the five-dive. She also won both competitions at Saint Rose with a combined score of 407.95.

Kingsley was also part of Bentley's winning 400 medley relay against Le Moyne, with the time of 4:06.36 an NE10 best, and was second in the 200 medley relay (1:56.47) against Saint Rose.

Bentley's 400 medley relay team was cited for relay honors after turning in the conference's best 400 medley relay time of the season at Le Moyne, 4:06.36. Gonzales anchored after freshmen Taylor White (Warwick, Bermuda/Warwick Academy), Kingsley and Caroline Ubert (Columbus, Ohio/Upper Arlington HS) swam the first three legs.
