Bentley Wins 13 of 16 Events during a 179.5-110.5 Win at Le Moyne

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Senior Dariana Gonzales (Stamford, Conn./Westhill HS) and freshman Morgan Kingsley (Cazenovia, N.Y./Cazenovia HS) each won two individual events and participated on the Falcons' winning 400 medley relay team as the Bentley University women's swimming and diving team defeated Le Moyne College, 179.5-110.5, at the Rev. Vincent B. Ryan, S.J. Pool Saturday.

Gonzales captured the two backstroke races, posting times of 1:01.39 in the 100 yard and 2:13.60 in the 200. Kingsley, whose hometown is only about 20 miles from the Le Moyne campus, earned her first individual wins as a collegian in the breaststroke. Her winning times were 1:10.05 in the 100 and 2:32.93 in theUb 200.

Earlier, they combined with freshman Taylor White (Warwick, Bermuda/Warwick Academy) and Caroline Ubert (Columbus, Ohio/Upper Arlington HS) to open the meet with a first-place finish in the 400 medley relay. Their 4:06.36 was the best posted in the Northeast-10 Conference so far this season. White also swam to victory in the 500 freestyle (5:24.64).

The other double-winner for Bentley was senior Kate Galvin (Suffern, N.Y./Suffern HS) in the 50 free (25.17) and the 100 free (55.65).

The Falcons' list of winners also included junior Emma Hapkiewicz (South Windsor, Conn./South Windsor HS) in the 1000 free (a conference-best 10:53.48), senior Mary Huminski (Madison, Conn./Daniel Hand HS in the one-meter diving (182.65), sophomore Jordan Nuzback (Fairview, Pa./McDowell HS) in the 100 butterfly (1:00.91), sophomore Hilla Almog (Wayland, Mass./Wayland HS) in the other one-meter diving competition (238.90) and freshman Grace Motisi (Ellington, Conn./Ellington HS) in the 200 individual medley (2:19.35).

Bentley, 1-1, will face The College of Saint Rose Sunday at 1 pm at Albany High School.
