#18 Bentley Knocked Out of NE10 Championship By #1 Pace 15-3; Johnson Gets 200th Career Point

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. - #1 nationally ranked Pace eliminated Bentley from the Northeast 10 Championship in the semifinals by a 15-3 score on Wednesday night.

The Setters improved to their record to 19-0 on the season and advanced to the finals on Saturday where they will meet Adelphi.

Bentley, ranked 18th nationally and the fourth seed in the NE10, will await word on selection to the NCAA Championship on Sunday night. They were ranked fourth in the most recent East Region rankings.

Bentley held Pace to just five goals in the first half and outshot the Setters 17-16 in the opening 30 minutes. But they were stymied by goalie Samantha Tanguay, who made seven saves and allowed just one goal in the opening half.

Pace extended its lead in the 3rd quarter by outscoring Bentley 5-1 and led 10-2 going into the final quarter.

Maeve Johnson had one goal and two assist to notch her 200th career point. Only five other players in program history have reached that milestone.

Her season totals stand at 64 goals, 28 assists and 92 points, needing three more goals and two more points to break both school single-season records.

Amanda Davis and Caitlin Keenan also had goals for the Falcons.
