Quartet of Seniors Named Captains of Women’s Lacrosse Team for 2024 Season

WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley head coach Taylor Bastien has announced that seniors Caroline Affolter, Courtney Dermody, Emma Jadul and Maeve Johnson will captain the women's lacrosse team this season.

We're so excited to name this quartet as captains for the 2024 season," Bastien said. "Each player has made an incredible impact on our program since stepping onto campus and we are looking forward to seeing what they do this spring. In addition to their contributions to our program, these four are extremely active on campus in the Bentley community. "

 

Caroline Affolter (Sr. | Midfielder | Newburyport, Mass.)

Coach Bastien: "Caroline is a true leader in all aspects and her work ethic is unmatched. She connects with and cares about all of her teammates and she is a tremendously smart player. She is as consistent as they come."

 

Courtney Dermody (Sr. | Attack | Bedford, N.H.)

Coach Bastien: "A highly skilled player, Courtney does an incredible job of mentoring her teammates and sharing her lacrosse knowledge. She is very supportive of her teammates and is always hyping them up."

 

Emma Jadul (Sr. | Defense | Reading, Mass.)

Coach Bastien: "Emma is a selfless person, who is willing to go above and beyond what is asked of her. Emma possesses a tremendous work ethic. She is tough and gritty and a player that others want to emulate."

 

Maeve Johnson (Sr. | Attack | Duxbury, Mass.)

Coach Bastien: "Maeve possesses an exceptional work ethic and not only leads by example but also vocally. Her energy brings the team together, while also holding her teammates to a high standard."
