Five from Women’s Lacrosse Named to IWLCA Academic Honor Roll; Team Earns Academic Honor Squad Recognition

WALTHAM, Mass. – Five student-athletes from the Bentley University women's lacrosse team were named to the IWLCA Academic Honor Roll on Wednesday, and as a team the Falcons earned Academic Honor Squad recognition.

To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must be a junior, senior or graduate student and have earned a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or better.

Academic Honor Squads must have posted a team GPA of 3.20 or better during the academic year. Bentley exceeded that, and in fact they previously earned the Team Academic Excellence Award from the NE10 for having the highest GPA in the conference.

The five Falcons named to the Honor Roll were Caroline Affolter (Newburyport, Mass./Central Catholic), Hannah Aronowitz (Niskayuna, N.Y./Niskayuna), Emma Jadul (Reading, Mass./Reading), Samantha Lee (Branford, Conn./Sacred Heart) and Stephanie McAuliffe (Natick, Mass./Natick).

Affolter is a rising senior midfielder who had a stellar 2023 season and is majoring in finance. She had 27 goals, 67 draw controls, 15 caused turnovers and 32 ground balls. Those numbers saw her named second team All-Conference and second team Division II All-East Region by the IWLCA.

She was previously named to the CSC Academic All-District team and to the NE10 Academic All-Conference team.

Aronowitz was a senior last season and started all 17 games at defense. She picked up 16 ground balls and had four caused turnovers. She majored in finance, with a minor in law.

Jadul is a rising senior defender with a major in corporate finance and accounting and a minor in computer information systems. Last season she played in all 17 games with 12 starts and picked up 20 ground balls and nine caused turnovers.

Lee, a defender, was a senior last season and majored in marketing, with minors in information design and corporate communication and philosophy.

McAuliffe is a rising senior with a major in finance and a minor in computer information systems. A midfielder, she scored 13 goals in 2023 to go along with 17 draw controls.
