Aronowitz, Hesslink and Lynch Named Captains of Women’s Lacrosse Team

WALTHAM, Mass. – Seniors Hannah Aronowitz (Niskayuna, N.Y./Niskayuna), Katherine Hesslink (Shelburne, Vt./Canterbury) and Sydney Lynch (Bedford, N.H./Bedford) will be the captains of the Bentley University women's lacrosse team for the 2023 season, head coach Taylor Bastien announced.

"We are excited to announce Hannah Aronowitz, Katherine Hesslink and Sydney Lynch as our captains for the 2023 season," said Bastien, a 2013 Bentley graduate. "Each player brings a different dynamic to the program and I am eager to see what this team can do under their leadership."

Aronowitz plays defense and has been a starter since her arrival on campus. She has started 30 games since the 2020 season and has been among the team leaders in ground balls and caused turnovers during that time with 45 and 26, respectively.

She is majoring in finance, with a minor in law.

Hesslink started all 16 games last season as a midfielder/defender. She caused 14 turnovers and scooped up 17 ground balls.

She is a finance major, with a minor in economics.

Lynch is a midfielder who last season was among the team leaders in goals with 18. She added 13 draw controls, 12 ground balls and seven caused turnovers.

She is a marketing major, with a minor in finance.

The Falcons are ranked 21st in the IWLCA Preseason Poll. They will get their season started on Feb. 25 at West Chester.
