Cerny Named Northeast-10 Rookie of the Week
WALTHAM, Mass. – Freshman attacker Tori Cerny (Olney, Md./Good Counsel) has been named the Northeast-10 Women's Lacrosse Rookie of the Week after scoring seven goals and dishing two assists in a 2-1 week for Bentley.
Cerny had a career-high four goals in Bentley's 17-13 win over Saint Anselm last Thursday night. She followed that up two goals and two assists for four points, which was tied for the game-high, in a 16-10 victory over Assumption on Saturday.
It's the first Rookie of the Week award for Cerny, whose 28 points on the season are third for the 12th-ranked Falcons. She's sixth on the squad in goals and second in assists.
Bentley is back in action Wednesday night when they visit Southern New Hampshire for the first of two games in the Granite State this week.
