WALTHAM, Mass. – Junior forward Kylie DuCharme (Wilmington/Wilmington HS) finished with 20 points, 12 rebounds, three steals and a plus-28 in less than 23 minutes as Bentley University extended its winning streak to 11 with a 64-39 wire-to-wire victory over Adelphi University in Northeast-10 women's basketball Saturday afternoon on Barbara Stevens Court.

On the day the Falcons celebrated the tenth anniversary of the 2014 NCAA Division II national championship team, Bentley improved to 19-2 overall and 14-1 conference. The eighth-ranked team nationally continues to lead the Northeast-10 by two games.

Bentley went into the halftime break up 11, 30-19, after leading by as many as 15. A late 7-0 run by the Panthers reduced the Falcon advantage to eight, but a left corner three from senior forward Maggie Whitmore (South Portland, Maine/South Portland HS) closed out the first half scoring.

DuCharme had an outstanding first half as she scored 11, collected eight rebounds and saw the Falcons outscore the Panthers by 17 when she was on the court.

DuCharme continued her strong play in the third with her nine points one more than Adelphi had as a team. Coupled with seven points from Whitmore, Bentley opened the game up. The lead hit a game-high 21 in the final minute of the stanza and the Falcons went into the fourth on the positive side of a 48-27 tally.

The fourth quarter included a late 10-3 Falcon run, which included four points apiece from sophomores Mikela Cooper (Surprise, Ariz./Valley Vista HS) and Andrene Thomas (Brooklyn, N.Y./Long Island City HS).

DuCharme, who collected three of her 12 boards at the offensive end, made eight of her 14 shots overall, one of two from distance and all three of her free throws.

Whitmore followed with 12 points and six rebounds, and junior guard Amanda Kabantu (Portland, Maine/Portland HS) helped out with seven points.

Freshman guard Isabella Asencio (Midland Park, N.J.) led Adelphi (4-17, 2-3 NE10) with ten points and three steals.

Bentley shot 45 percent overall, including 54 in the second half, and kept the visitors to 36 percent, including only three of 12 from deep. The Falcons made twice as many threes (6-3) and free throws (8-4), dominated the boards (36-24), had a 14-2 advantage in second-chance points and forced 19 turnovers.

The Falcons will be back on Barbara Stevens Court on Wednesday for a 5:30 game against Southern New Hampshire.
