Brekke Named to Academic All-Northeast-10 Women’s Basketball Team for 2nd Time

WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley University graduate guard Kari Brekke (Appleton, Wis./Appleton North HS) has been voted to the Academic All-Northeast-10 women's basketball team. It's the second straight year that the two-time Falcon captain has earned the honor.

Brekke averaged 7.9 points, 1.9 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game while shooting 42 percent overall and 41 percent from three-point range for the 22-10 Falcons. She was third in the NE10 in both three-point accuracy and assist-turnover ratio (39 assists, 20 turnovers).

Brekke's season included two 20-point games (Nov. 27 vs. Saint Leo, Jan. 1 vs. Franklin Pierce) as well as 19 at Southern New Hampshire Nov. 27. She sank six of eight from distance in the Franklin Pierce.

Brekke finished her collegiate career with 1,128 points, including 828 during her three seasons with the Falcons. Her 141 career three-pointers ranks 13th in program history.

Bentley repeated as Northeast-10 champions and advanced to the semifinals of the NCAA Division II East Regional tournament. During her three seasons with the Falcons, Brekke was part of teams that had an aggregate record of 60-28.
