WALTHAM, Mass. – Freshman forward Ciara Norman (Roebling, N.J./Life Center Academy) has been named the Women's Rookie of the Week in the Northeast-10 Conference following her outstanding performance in wins over Assumption University and St. Michael's College.

Norman was impressive in the Falcons' 76-48 win over Assumption Wednesday as she came off the bench for a career-high 16 points, nine rebounds and four steals. She followed that effort with eight points and seven rebounds in a 52-27 win at St. Michael's.

Overall, in a 2-0 week, Norman averaged 11.5 points, 8.5 rebounds and three steals while shooting .500 overall and making seven of nine free throws.

For the season, as part of a three-player rotation in the post for the 12-4 and conference-leading Falcons, Norman is averaging 12.4 minutes, 6.3 rebounds and 4.9 rebounds while shooting .486 overall and .727 from the line.

Also recognized, with inclusion on the NE10 Weekly Honor Roll, was junior forward Maggie Whitmore (South Portland, Maine/South Portland HS). She averaged 12.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, three assists and three steals in the two wins while shooting 59 percent overall and making all four of her three-point attempts. Whitmore had 14 points, five rebounds, five assists and four steals against Assumption and 11 points, 10 rebounds and two steals at St. Michael's.
