Falcons drop two games in Florida

LONGWOOD, Fla. – The Bentley softball lost two games in Florida Saturday. The Falcons were downed by Barry, 8-0 (5 inn.), and then they fell to Rollins, 7-1. Florida Tech hosted the games at Soldiers Creek Softball Complex.

Lauren Massry accounted for the Falcons' only hit against Barry. She singled through the left side in the second inning.

Against Rollins, Bentley totaled five hits – two of which were by Morgan Fraitzl. She singled up the middle in the third inning, and singled to left field in the fifth.

The Falcons' lone run came in the fifth stanza. Samantha Hess and Fraitzl hit consecutive one-out singles. A wild pitch allowed for Bentley to have two runners in scoring position, and Kylee Amato delivered an RBI base hit.

Bentley's Florida trip concludes Sunday, Feb. 11, with games against Rollins (11 a.m.) and Florida Tech (1:30 p.m.).
