Krause Named to NFCA All-East Region First Team

WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley University junior left fielder Jordan Krause (San Pedro, Calif./San Pedro HS), who has helped the Falcons to the first NCAA Division II regional appearance in program history, has been selected to the NFCA Division II All-East Region first team by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association.

Krause, an All-Northeast-10 first-team honoree for the second consecutive year, is number two in the conference in batting average (.421), slugging percentage (.671) and on base percentage (.470) while batting out of the third spot in the lineup. She's hit safely in 35 of the team's 43 games with 20 games with multiple hits.

The stat line for Krause, Bentley's all-time leader in home runs, includes 64 hits and 102 total bases, both program records. Her 21 extra base hits include 11 doubles, three triples and seven home runs, and she has 38 runs scored and 35 RBI.

Krause enters the regional with a .404 career average, 116 hits, 70 runs and 50 RBI.

Bentley, 28-14-1, will open regional play Thursday against Caldwell University at Adelphi University in Garden City, N.Y.
