Bentley men complete split squad in San Diego, New Haven

SAN DIEGO, Calif. – Sam Capobianco and Cole Duval both finished among in the top 20 in the men's 5,000-m run during the UC San Diego Triton Invitational Saturday.

Capobianco finished 15th with a time of 15:28.54, and Duval was 17th by crossing the finish line in 15:30.98.

Matthew Chicko ran in the 800-m, where he placed 27th with a time of 1:58.42. Evan Bean finished the 400-m hurdles in 58.42 seconds, good for 22nd overall.

Bean and Ryan Dennehy both sprinted in the 100-m. Bean's time of 23.24 seconds (51st overall), and Dennehy finished in 23.30 seconds (54th).

Finn Power was 50th in the 1,500-m by timing in at 4:19.76.

Several Falcons competed more locally in the Wilton Wright Invitational hosted by Southern Connecticut Saturday.

In New Haven, Sam Balsis was fourth in the 400-m hurdles by crossing the finish line in 59.11 seconds. Daimien Garcia was fifth in the javelin by clearing 48.52-m, and Quinn Riesenberg claimed 9th in the long jump (6.25-m).
