Burmester & Duval Receive Academic All-Northeast-10 Honors

WALTHAM, Mass. – The Academic All-Northeast-10 Conference teams for men's and women's outdoor track and field include two Bentley University Falcons, rising juniors Caitlin Burmester (Willow Grove, Pa./Upper Dublin HS) and Cole Duval (Tolland/Mount Everett HS).

Burmester became one of only seven student-athletes in the conference this season to earn Academic All-Northeast-10 honors in all three seasons: cross country, indoors and outdoors. Duval was a double-winner, having previously been honored following the indoor season.

Both have been outstanding in the classroom since their arrival on campus. Burmester, who majors in both accountancy and liberal studies, has a 3.94 grade point average and Duval has achieved a 3.91 as a computer information systems during his first four semesters.

At the Northeast-10 Outdoor Championships, Burmester was fourth in both the 800 meters (2:18.83) and the 1500 (4:42.33). Duval, meanwhile, was fifth in the 10,000 (31:52.25) and seventh in the 5,000 (15:42.18). He also received Division II All-East recognition from the USTFCCCA.
