Bentley Rolls Past Nichols College 8-1; Four Players Win Twice

DUDLEY, Mass. – Four different players won in both singles and doubles to help the Bentley men's tennis team post an 8-1 victory over Nichols College on Thursday.

Connor Aulson (Groveland, Mass./Pentucket), Max Bonte (Bradenton, Fla./St. Stephens), Gabe Horowitz (Lake Oswego, Ore./Lake Oswego) and Noah Monsanto (Woodbridge, N.J./Woodbridge) all won two matches on the day.

Aulson led the charge in singles with a 6-1, 6-2 victory in the No. 2 spot over Nichols' Santiago Perez. Bonte followed suit with a 6-2, 6-3 win in No. 3 over Diego Martinez. Horowitz battled to a three sets victory in No. 4, 6-1, 4-6, 10-8 and Monsanto was a 6-4, 6-4 victor in No. 5. Freshman Liam Marr (Franklin, Mass./Franklin) also won in straight sets, 6-4, 6-1 in No. 6.

Bentley swept the three doubles matches, all by an 8-6 score. Aulson and fellow graduate student Daniel Weitz (Roslyn, N.Y./Roslyn) teamed up for a victory in the No. 1 position. Bonte and Horowitz were in No. 2 and Monsanto and fellow freshman Reilly O'Brien (Andover, Mass./Andover) won in No. 3.

Bentley will next host Emerson College on Saturday, followed by another home match against Eastern Nazarene on Tuesday, Oct. 5.
