Bentley men dominate in final home meet of season

WALTHAM, Mass. – Carter Ferrara won three events as the Bentley men's swimming and diving team toppled Bridgewater State, 186-89, Thursday night.

Results

Ferrara was first in the 200-freestyle with a time of 1:50.64, and he won the 100-freestyle by touching the wall in 49.16 seconds. Ferrara, along with Daniel Lehr, Kenneth Ryu, and Daniel Ivanchikov, won the 200-medley relay with a time of 1:37.42.

Ryu was first in the 50-breaststroke with a time of 27.51 seconds, and Ivanchikov won the 50-freestyle in 22.88 seconds. Lehr was first in the 100-backstroke by touching the wall in 54.24 seconds.

Stephen Calabro won the 1,000-freestyle by nearly six seconds, posting a time of 10:42.89. Matthew Walden won the 50-backstroke with a time of 26.33 seconds, more than one full second ahead of the next swimmer in the event.

Joey Twomey won the 100-butterfly by timing in at 54.72 seconds, and he was first in the 50-butterfly with a time of 24.30 seconds – more than a full second ahead of the next competitor.

Bentley's next meet is the Northeast-10 Championship, Feb. 15-18, in Worcester, Mass.
