Bentley Swim Teams Recognized by CSCAA for Academic Success

WALTHAM, Mass. -- The Bentley University men's and women's swimming and diving teams have received Scholar All-America Team Awards from the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) for their academic performance during the fall semester.

Bentley was one of 54 Division II institutions to have both its men's and women's teams recognized, and one of four Northeast-10 Conference programs to have both teams honored. The women's team posted a 3.55 grade point average during the fall, tied for 20th best in Division II and the men's team had a 3.28, 24th best.

Fourteen of the 21 members of the women's team had at least a 3.50 during the semester and nine were at 3.75 or better. On the men's team, 10 of 26 achieved at least a 3.50 and four of those recorded at least a 3.75.

The CSCAA presents the Team Scholar All-America Award to swimming and diving programs who earn a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher. This was the 16th straight semester that both the Bentley men and women have been honored.

The men's team posted a 10-0 record this season, the women were 10-1, and both finished second in the Northeast-10 Championships.
