Bentley Men Stay Unbeaten with 134-91 Win over Pace

WALTHAM, Mass. – In the final home competition of their careers, Bentley University senior captains Ryan Looney (Wilton, Conn./Wilton HS) and Anthony Vizental (Concord, Calif./Clayton Valley HS) each won two individual events as Bentley University posted a 134-91 Senior Day win over Pace University Sunday afternoon at the Dana Center pool.

Bentley, which won 12 of 13 events against the visiting Setters, improved to 9-0 this season and extended its dual winning streak to 18.

Looney took first in both the 50 freestyle (21.83) and the 200 backstroke (2:03.51) while Vizental swam the 200 butterfly in 2:01.13 and the 200 individual medley in 2:01.86.

Another double-winner for Bentley was junior Andrew Matjucha (Randolph, N.J./Randolph HS), with times of 1:49.39 in the 200 free and 4:55.97 in the 500 free.

Bentley also received winning performances from sophomore Joey Twomey (Sebastian, Fla./Sebastian River HS) in the 1000 free (10:43.44), sophomore Calvin Ye (Port Washington, N.Y./Paul D. Schreiber HS) in the 100 free (49.05), graduate diver Jeremy Glick (South Windsor, Conn./South Windsor HS) in the three-meter diving (2:56.34) and sophomore Kenneth Ryu (Los Angeles, Calif./Loyola HS) in the 200 breaststroke (2:17.58).

Bentley will close out its dual season Wednesday at Bridgewater State.
