Bentley Quartet Collects NE10 Men’s Relay of the Week Honors
WALTHAM, Mass. – For the second time this season, a quartet from Bentley University men's swimming and diving team has been named the Northeast-10 Conference Men's Relay Team of the Week.
Against Brandeis, Bentley posted the fastest 200 medley relay time in the conference to date, 1:36.05, and won by 1.88 seconds. Sophomore Calvin Ye (Port Washington, N.Y./Paul D. Schreiber HS) led off and was followed by classmate Kenneth Ryu (Los Angeles, Calif./Loyola HS), senior Anthony Vizental (Concord, Calif./Clayton Valley HS) and junior Wellington Chen (Great Neck, N.Y./John L Miller HS).
In addition, Vizental and graduate student Jeremy Glick (South Windsor, Conn./South Windsor HS) were named to the NE10 Weekly Honor Roll.
Vizental entered the pool four times in a dual win over Brandeis and took first place in each event with three of his clockings good for the top spot on the NE10 performance list. Conference season-bests were achieved in the 200 freestyle (1:59.04), the 100 butterfly (51.13) as well as the 200 medley relay. His 200 fly time (1:59.04) was the NE10's second best to date and a Dana Center pool record.
Glick captured both one-meter diving competitions against Brandeis with a combined score of 429.00. His six-dive score was 259.95, third best in the NE10 this season, and his five-dive score was 165.05.
The next meet for Bentley (4-0) is at home Saturday afternoon against Keene State.
