Vizental Named the Northeast-10 Men’s Swimmer of the Week

WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley University senior Anthony Vizental (Concord, Calif./Clayton Valley HS) has been recognized as the Men's Swimmer of the Week in the Northeast-10 Conference following his outstanding performance in the Falcons' season-opener meet against Wheaton College.

In addition, NE10 Men's Relay Team of the Week honors went to the foursome of junior Wellington Chen (Great Neck, N.Y./John L. Miller North HS), senior Ryan Looney (Wilton, Conn./Wilton HS) and sophomores Marshall Wilson (Beverly Hills, Fla./Crystal Ranch HS) and Calvin Ye (Port Washington, N.Y./Paul D. Schreiber HS).

Vizental took first in the 200 freestyle (1:46.35), the 200 butterfly (1:59.43) and the 100 fly (51.55), and was also part of the Falcons' winning 200 medley relay team (1:36.45). His time in the relay and both fly events were NE10 season-bests, and his 200 free was the second best in the conference this season.

Against Wheaton, Bentley placed first in the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 1:27.90. Chen led off and was followed by Wilson, Ye and Looney. Their time was a Northeast-10 season best by nearly a second.

Also recognized, with selection to the NE10 Weekly Honor Roll, was graduate diver Jeremy Glick (South Windsor, Conn./South Windsor HS). He began the season by placing first in the one-meter diving with a score of 225.00.

Bentley, after winning its opener, will face Le Moyne College and The College of Saint Rose this weekend on the road.
