WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley suffered a tough 2-0 home defeat to American Int'l on Tuesday afternoon. The Yellow Jackets goals came from a penalty kick in the first half and a goal in the final seconds of the second half.
With the match scoreless late in the first half, AIC drew a foul in the penalty area and were awarded a penalty kick. Midfielder Yussif Salim was selected to take it, and he scored with a low shot to the left corner of the net.
Trailing 1-0, Bentley had the better of play in the second half and created sustained pressure over the final 10 minutes in search of the tying goal.
Bentley was awarded a corner kick with 43 seconds remaining and goalkeeper Eduardo Bomfim (Salvador, Brazil) came all the up to give the Falcons 10 players in the box.
