12 Different Players Score in 16-2 Win for Falcons Over Franklin Pierce

WALTHAM, Mass. – 12 different players scored a goal as the #13 ranked Falcons defeated Franklin Pierce 16-2 at home on Saturday afternoon.

After a tough triple OT defeat to Pace on Wednesday night the Falcons got back in the win column with an emphatic effort at both ends of the field.

Bentley outshot Franklin Pierce 58-15 and saw the Ravens turn the ball over 23 times, with 12 of those being caused turnovers. Alex Parton and Bryan Powers led the team with two CTs each.

Senior Nolan Sullivan earned the win in the cage for the Falcons, who improved their records to 4-4 overall and 2-3 in the NE10.

Cam Bartolomeo won 14-15 faceoffs and scooped up 11 ground balls.

It took a little more than half of the first quarter for the Falcons to get going, but a goal by Ryan Gerety at the 7:35 mark of the first quarter broke the dam. David Gagnon and Jake Calabro added goals as Bentley led 3-0 after the first 15 minutes.

Conor Segreti scored 4:31 into the second quarter for a 4-0 lead. After FPU got on the board at the 7:45 mark, Devin Smith scored twice 37 seconds apart at 4:47 and 4:10 to open up a 6-1 advantage.

The Falcons then closed the half with a flourish as a pass by Rawley Scherman in transition led to a shot by Brady Glass that beat the buzzer for a 7-1 lead.

Segreti and Nicholas Thorn-Guillaro scored man-up goals in the third quarter as the Falcons added four goals to their tally in the third.

Five different players scored in the fourth quarter. Gagnon, Will Adams, Alex Ryan, Quinn Meissner and Scherman.

Following Saturday's win, the Falcons are back in action on Tuesday night when they visit Saint Michael's.
