Men’s Lacrosse Back at Home Wednesday to Host Pace in Battle of Nationally Ranked Teams

WALTHAM, Mass. – Men's lacrosse is back at home on Wednesday to host the Pace Setters in a battle of nationally ranked teams. The Falcons will also host it's Morgan's Message game to help support the organization which advocates for the mental health of student-athletes.

Morgan's Message was created by the family and former teammates of Morgan Rodgers, a former Duke University lacrosse student-athlete, with the mission of eliminating the stigma surrounding mental health, normalizing conversations about mental health, and to ensure that mental health is treated equally to physical health for all student-athletes.

For more information on Morgan's life and legacy, and how you can join our student-athletes in helping those with mental health struggles, please visit MorgansMessage.org.

Nationally Ranked Matchup

The Falcons will go into Wednesday's game ranked #13 nationally, with a 3-3 record and 1-2 mark in NE10 games. All three of the team's defeats this season have been to nationally ranked opponents, including a 17-8 setback at Saint Anselm on Saturday.

Two of Bentley's three wins have been against ranked squads. They beat Saint Anselm in a non-conference game on March 1 and won at Frostburg State on March 13.

Pace is ranked 11th and is 6-1 overall with a 2-1 mark in NE10 games. The Setters lost to Adelphi in their last game on Friday 12-6. They have NE10 wins over Saint Rose and Franklin Pierce.

Piersiak Racks Up the CTs

Sophomore Kyle Piersiak had six caused turnovers and 11 ground balls on Saturday at Saint Anselm. He ranks 4th nationally in CTs per game at 3.16.

The Needham, Mass., native was named the NE10 Defensive Player of the Week on March 18 and to the USILA Team of the Week that week.

Segreti to the Honor Roll

Senior attacker Conor Segreti was named to the NE10 Weekly Honor Roll after he had six goals in two games last week. Segreti leads the team in both goals (14) and points (19) at this point of the season.

Series History

The Falcons hold a 16-15 edge over Pace in the all-time series. Bentley won last season's meeting in New York 11-10 as they scored twice in the final 3:43 to overcome a 10-9 deficit. Nathan Alviti had the tying goal and Segreti the go-ahead goal.

Bentley also defeated Pace 7-3 in the first round of the 2022 NE10 Championship.

Saturday Matchup with the Ravens

The Falcons also host Franklin Pierce on Saturday for its Team Impact game. Back in November the men's lacrosse team welcomed William MacKay as a new team member.
