Men’s Lacrosse Receives Team Academic Award from USILA

WALTHAM, Mass. – The Bentley University men's lacrosse team received the Team Academic Award from the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association for the 2023 season.

The criteria for a team earning the award is having a combined GPA of 3.0 or better. But the Falcons far surpassed that and had a GPA of 3.408. That earned them the Team Academic Excellence Award from the NE10 for having best GPA among men's lacrosse teams in the conference.

Individually the men's lacrosse team has received a number of academic recognitions in the postseason. Nathan Alviti was named an Academic All-America by the College Sports Communicators. Alviti, Cam Bartolomeo, David Gagnon and Alex Parton were voted to the NE10 Academic All-Conference team for men's lacrosse.

Matt Crepeau, Andrew Granzier, Eric Makhatadze, Alex Fayan, Luke Jaber, Bryan Powers and Jake Tyska were all senior student-athletes named to the NEILA All-Academic team for having a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better.

Of course, the Falcons enjoyed success on the field this season as well. They earned a bid to the NCAA Tournament and advanced to the finals of the NE10 Championship.
