Quartet Voted to NE10 Men’s Lacrosse Academic All-Conference Team

WALTHAM, Mass. – A quartet of student-athletes from Bentley University were voted to the Northeast-10 Men's Lacrosse Academic All-Conference Team.

Nathan Alviti (New Fairfield, Conn./New Fairfield), Cam Bartolomeo (Meriden, Conn./Xavier), David Gagnon (Chelmsford, Mass./Chelmsford) and Alex Parton (Victor, N.Y./Victor) were chosen for their outstanding performances on the field and in the classroom during the 2022-23 academic year.

Bentley's four selections are the most on the NE10 men's lacrosse Academic All-Conference team.

Alviti, a sophomore midfielder, was named an Academic All-America by the College Sports Communications on Wednesday. A finance major, he has garnered a number of awards for his stellar 2023 season, including honorable mention All-America by the USILA and third team All-America by USA Lacrosse Magazine.

He notched 24 goals and 15 assists for 39 points, and was also named second team All-NE10 and honorable mention All-Region by the USILA.

Bartolomeo is another who has racked up the awards for his excellent season. A faceoff specialist, he was voted third team All-America and second team All-Region by the USILA.

A junior who majors in finance, he was tabbed as the first ever NE10 Faceoff Specialist of the Year. He won 58.2 percent of his faceoffs to rank 19th in Division II and averaged 6.19 ground balls per game to rank 22nd.

Gagnon scored 11 goals and added five assists in his sophomore season. He had his highest scoring game of the season against Le Moyne in the NE10 championship game with three goals.

He is majoring in economics-finance.

Parton is a long stick midfielder and is majoring in economics-finance. He was a key contributor to Bentley's defensive efforts with 13 caused turnovers, in addition to 42 ground balls. He was named third team All-Conference, honorable mention All-America by USA Lacrosse Magazine and honorable mention All-Region by the USILA.

The quartet helped Bentley to a tremendous season where they qualified for the NCAA Tournament and reached the finals of the NE10 playoffs.
