Bartolomeo Named Third Team All-America by USILA; Jaber and Alviti Honorable Mentions

WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley University's Cam Bartolomeo (Meriden, Conn./Xavier) was named a third team All-America by the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association on Friday. Senior attacker Luke Jaber (Milton, Mass./BC High) and sophomore midfielder Nathan Alviti (New Fairfield, Conn./New Fairfield) were picked as honorable mentions.

A junior, Bartolomeo had a tremendous season in the faceoff circle for the Falcons. He won 58.2 percent of his faceoffs (198-340) in 16 games. That ranks as the 19th best percentage in Division II.

He collected 99 ground balls for an average of 6.19 per game, which ranks 22nd in Division II.

He had a season-high 17 ground balls in a win over Franklin Pierce on March 25. In a 10-game stretch from March 25-May 3, he was dominant in the circle with a 65.9 winning percentage.

Bartolomeo was named the NE10's first ever Faceoff Specialist of the Year on May 2nd. The other recognitions he's received this postseason are first team All-Conference, first team All-New England, second team All-North Region and honorable mention All-America by USA Lacrosse Magazine.

Jaber led the squad in each of goals (36), assists (19) and points (55) for the second straight season. He has also been voted second team All-Conference, first team All-New England, the New England Division II Player of the Year, All-America honorable mention by USA Lacrosse Magazine and honorable mention All-North Region by the USILA.

Alviti racked up 24 goals and 15 assists for 39 points in 16 games. Those numbers put him third on the team in each category. He led the Falcons with nine points in their three postseason games with four goals and five assists.

In addition to being cited as a third team All-America by USA Lacrosse Magazine, he's been second team All-Conference, first team All-New England, CSC Academic All-District and honorable mention All-North Region by the USILA.

They become the 9th, 10th and 11th USILA All-Americans in the history of the Bentley men's lacrosse program. They join Jon Gozzo (1996), Eric Hiatt (1997), Dean Hogencamp (1998, 1999, 2000), Scott Yavarow (2001, 2002), Doug Logan (2009), Matt Allen (2010), Max Adler (2016, 2017) and Connor Baughan (2021).

As a team this season, the Falcons earned the program's first bid to the NCAA Tournament and advanced to the NE10 finals.
