Bentley Flies Past AIC 18-5

Springfield, Mass. – The Bentley University men's lacrosse won its second straight game with an 18-5 win at American International on Wednesday afternoon.

The Falcons improved to 2-2 on the season with the win.

Reigning NE10 Player of the Week Kristopher Campbell (Longmeadow, Mass./Longmeadow) had another big game with seven points, on two goals and five assists. He now has 16 points in the last two games.

Senior Matt Mulcahy (South Windsor, Conn./South Windsor) had three caused turnovers. Bentley also dominated the faceoff circle to the tune of 20-26. Freshman Cam Bartolomeo (Meriden, Conn./Xavier) went 13-14 and sophomore Jake Tyska (Natick, Mass./Natick) was 7-12.

Bentley raced out to a 5-0 lead in the first quarter and Campbell had a hand in each goal. He scored two, and assisted on goals by Joey Tesoriero (Huntington Station, N.Y./Half Hallow Hills), Ben Baldasaro (Exeter, N.H./Exeter) and Cam Egan (Waltham, Mass./Waltham).

Bentley expanded its lead to 11-1 at halftime, and it was a balanced attack in the 2nd quarter with six different goal scorers. Among them was senior Dom Cioffi (Yorktown Heights, N.Y./Yorktown) and junior Clay Moseman (Longmeadow, Mass./Longmeadow).

Sophomore Andrew Granzier (Scarborough, Maine/Scarborough) scored to lead off the 3rd quarter and freshman Devin Smith (Maynard, Mass./Concord-Carlisle) had a hat trick in the 3rd quarter alone.

Junior goalie Keaton Roarick (Old Saybrook, Conn./Old Saybrook) earned the win with four saves in 30 minutes of action.

Bentley will go for a third straight win on Saturday when they host Saint Michael's.
