Two Hockey East Road Games for Bentley At Turkey Leg Classic

WALTHAM, Mass. – After Thanksgiving Bentley has two road games lined up against Hockey East opponents with UMass Lowell on Friday and Merrimack on Saturday. Both games begin at 4:00 PM and can be seen on ESPN+

Bentley vs. UMass Lowell-Friday at 4:00 PM

The Falcons will be looking to snap a three-game skid on Friday against the River Hawks. This game will see head coach Andy Jones return to the campus where he coached for eight seasons before arriving at Bentley.

The Falcons have two former River Hawks on the roster. Nik Armstong-Kingkade played in 55 games in three seasons for UML. This season Kingkade is tied for the team lead with five goals after he scored in Tuesday's game at AIC. Josh Latta played at Lowell from 2020-22.

Bentley defeated UML 3-2 in overtime in its last visit to the Tsongas Center on Nov. 28, 2017. The last time these teams played was Oct. 27, 2018 at Bentley Arena in a 4-2 UML win.

Bentley vs. Merrimack-Saturday at 4:00 PM

Merrimack is one of just four Hockey East teams Bentley has never beaten. The others are Vermont, Providence and UConn.

The last meeting between these teams was on Jan. 8, 2022, a 4-1 Warriors win in North Andover.

Falcon Notes

Tuesday's game at AIC snapped a streak of five straight games where Bentley allowed two goals or less. The Falcons are tied for 5th nationally for the fewest goals allowed per game at 2.2.

Nicholas Grabko is ninth nationally in goals against average at 2.02.

Bentley leads Atlantic Hockey with an 86.2 penalty kill percentage. That ranks 14th nationally.
