Falcons Back at Home This Weekend to Host Stonehill
WALTHAM, Mass. – Hockey is back at Bentley Arena this weekend for a series against Stonehill. Friday's game begins at 7:05 PM and Saturday gets underway at 6:05 PM
Last Time Out
Bentley dropped a 5-2 decision at Northeastern last Saturday. The goals were scored by a pair of freshmen, Kellan Hjartarson and Kolby Amici. Hjartartson, from Calgary and who played with Cranbrook in the BCHL, scored in the 2nd period. Amici netted his second goal in as many games after he scored in the season opener against Boston University.
Block Party
Bentley has blocked 39 shots in the first two games. Junior Sam Duerr, a transfer from Maine, leads with four blocks.
Series History
This weekend won't the first time Bentley and Stonehill have played, but it will the first time since the 1997-98 season. The teams played 36 times before Bentley jumped to Division I. Bentley leads the all-time series 28-8.
Stat Leaders
Freshman Jimmy Doyle leads the team with six shots on goal so far. Sophomore Arlo Merritt leads with 20 faceoff wins. Nick Bochen and Ethan Harrison are both tops on the team with a +2 rating.
