WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley heads to No. 19 ranked Northeastern and Matthews Arena on Saturday night for its second game of the season. The game can be seen on ESPN+ (subscription required) starting at 7:00 PM.

GAME NOTES

Last Time Out

Bentley went to overtime against No. 1 ranked Boston University before they dropped a heartbreaker 3-2 in the debut for head coach Andy Jones last Saturday.

The Falcons fell behind 2-0 but battled back to tie the score. Freshman Kolby Amici scored at 16:49 of the 2^nd period to make it a 2-1 game. Then in the third period, A.J. Hodges netted a power play goal at the 6:26 mark.

The game went to OT tied 2-2, but BU's Lane Hutson score the winner at 3:12.

Bentley's Connor Hasley made 29 saves.

A Pair of Firsts

The goals by Amici and Hodges were the first in a Falcons uniform for both. Amici is a freshman and Hodges transferred from Michigan State.

Hasley vs. Hockey East

In three career games against Hockey East opponents, Hasley has a .942 save percentage. He made 33 saves in a win over Maine last season.

Bentley vs. Hockey East and Northeastern

Bentley has 14 wins all-time against Hockey East opponents. Five of those wins have come against Northeastern, including a 3-1 victory at Bentley Arena last season. Nicholas Grabko made 34 saves and defenseman Ryan Nause was among the goal scorers.

Bentley has won three times at Matthews Arena, in the 2010-11, 2012-13 and 2015-16 seasons.

The all-time series is 6-5-2 in favor of the Huskies.

Debuts

Of Bentley's 12 new players on the roster, nine were in the lineup against BU. Transfers A.J. Hodges, Sam Duerr, Jonathan Bendorf and Nik Armstrong-Kingkade and freshmen Jimmy Doyle, Kellan Hjartarson, Chase Davis, Garrett Horsager and Kolby Amici.

Additionally Ethan Leyh made his debut. Leyh transferred from Quinnipiac for the 2022-23 season but did not play as he rehabbed from an injury.
