WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley University's Nicholas Niemo (Middlebury, Vt.) was named to the Atlantic Hockey All-Rookie team on Monday, the conference announced.

A forward, Niemo led the Falcons with 22 points on eight goals and 14 assists. He was tied for second on the team in goals and tied for third in assists. Niemo also led the team in points in Atlantic Hockey games, with 18 (6 goals, 12 assists) in 25 contests.

He became just the second freshman to lead the team in scoring in the program's Division I era, which began in 1999.

During the season the Vermont native earned a number of awards. For the month of January he was tabbed as both the Hockey Commissioners Association National Co-Rookie of the Month and the Atlantic Hockey Rookie of the Month. He was chosen as the AHA Rookie of the Week twice (Jan. 16 & Jan. 30).

Niemo was also named to the Tim Taylor National Rookie of the Year watch list, which is sponsored by the Hockey Commissioners Association.
