Air Force Tops Bentley 2-0 for Series Split; Hasley Makes 40 Saves

USAFA, Colo. – Air Force came away with a hard-fought 2-0 victory over Bentley on Saturday night for a split of the series after Bentley won Friday's game 5-1.

Falcons freshman goalie Connor Hasley (North Tonawanda, N.Y.) had a strong performance with a career-high 40 saves. He made 15 saves in the 1st period, 13 in the 2nd period and 12 in the 3rd.

But it was two power play goals by Air Force that made the difference. Andrew DeCarlo scored with 1:22 left in the first period to give them a 1-0 lead. After a scoreless 2nd period and more than 12 minutes off the clock in the 3rd period, Luke Rowe scored a 5-on-3 goal for a 2-0 lead.

Bentley had a two-man advantage for the final 52 seconds after a hooking penalty on Air Force and Hasley was pulled for the extra-attacker. But Air Force was able to see out the remaining time to hold on for the victory.

Air Force goalie Guy Blessing made 25 saves to earn the win.

Harrison Scott (San Jose, Calif.) led the team with five shots on goal.

Bentley's next games are on Nov. 18 and 19 at Army West Point.
