COLUMBUS, Ohio – Junior goaltender Nicholas Grabko (Channahon, Illinois) made 35 saves, but No. 16 ranked Ohio State defeated Bentley 3-1 on Friday night at Value City Arena.

Grabko made 14 saves in the first period and helped Bentley's penalty kill go 2-2 in the opening period as the game remained 0-0 at intermission.

Ohio State took a 1-0 lead 41 seconds into the second period when Ottawa Senators draft pick Stephen Halliday scored.

Bentley though got the tying goal 2:14 into the third period from captain Dylan Pitera (Culver, Indiana), with his second goal of the series.

Senior Lucas Vanroboys (Thamesville, Ontario) gained control of the puck along the boards in Bentley's offensive zone and fed a quick pass to Pitera on the edge of the right face-off circle. Pitera then fired a shot over the glove of OSU goalie Jakub Dobes to tie the game 1-1.

A little over three minutes later though the Buckeyes took the lead back. Junior center Patrick Guzzo scored at the 5:48 mark to make it a 2-1 game.

Bentley had a five-minute power play opportunity after a major penalty on OSU at the 9:41 mark but could not convert.
