WALTHAM, Mass. – The Bentley University Falcons will be one of 20 teams that will be teeing off Thursday when the 2024 NCAA Division II Atlantic/East Men's Golf Regional gets underway at the Oglebay Golf Course in Wheeling, W.V.

The top five teams from the three-day, 54-hole tournament, and the top two individuals not on a qualifying team will advance to the NCAA Division II Championships, which will be held May 21-25 at the Orange County National Golf Club in Winter Garden, Florida.

Bentley has been selected for the regional tournament as a team 12 times since 2011 and was represented by two players at last year's event.

The lineup for second-year head coach Brian Bain this week with have senior captains Timothy Picard (Dracut/Lowell Catholic HS) and Aidan Stuart (Madison, Conn./Daniel Hand HS) and a trio of juniors. They are Bennett Berg (Portland, Maine/Portland HS), Evan Desjardins (Salem, N.H./Salem HS) and Chris Huban (Cohoes, N.Y./Albany Academy).

All five had a chance to play the Oglebay Resort Jones Course a couple weeks ago when Bentley played there in the regional preview. Desjardins was the Falcons' top golfer in that event with a 74-85-159.

For the season, Picard has been Bentley's top performer with a 74.9 stroke average. During the spring portion of the schedule, Desjardins and Berg have averages of 75.8 and 76.7.

Of the five Falcons who'll be competing in the regional, only Stuart has previous NCAA experience. He competed in 2021 while at St. Michael's and in 2022 for Bentley.
