Desjardins & Eaton Selected for Academic All-Northeast-10 Honors in Golf

WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley University rising juniors Evan Desjardins (Salem, N.H./Salem HS) and Nelson Eaton (Groton, Vt./St. Johnsbury Acad.) have been selected for the 2022-23 Academic All-Northeast-10 Conference Men's Golf Team for their success on the course and in the classroom.

Bentley was the only institution that placed more than one individual on the six-man team.

Eaton, one of two Falcons who were selected to participate in the NCAA Division II Atlantic/East Super Regional, had a 76.8 stroke average, third best on the team. He shot in the 70s in 15 of 19 rounds and had a low of 73 in the Franklin Pierce Invitational. Eaton was Bentley's top finisher in three tournaments, including the Northeast-10 Championships when he was tenth.

Desjardins was second on the team in stroke average with a 75.7 during seven tournaments and 14 rounds. He shot in the 70s a dozen times with a low round of 72 during the Trojan in March.

Both student-athletes have excelled in the classroom. Eaton, a finance major, has a 3.94 grade point average and Desjardins has achieved a 3.87 while majoring in corporate finance and accounting.

Since 2008, Bentley golfers have collected a total of 32 Academic All-Northeast-10 awards.
