LEBANON, Pa. – Bentley University senior Jared Walter (South Windsor, Conn./South Windsor HS) finished day one of the NCAA Division II Atlantic/East Super Regional in a tie for 61^{st h} place Thursday at the Iron Valley Country Club.

Walter posted a seven-over 79 with his only birdie coming on the 441-yard par-four tenth hole. Among East Region golfers, he tied for 29^th among 54 golfers.

Bentley's other participant was sophomore Nelson Eaton (Groton, Vt./St. Johnsbury Acad.) finished with an 84, which put him in a tie for 100^th place.

The individual leader following the opening round was Donie Groppuso, whose three-under 69 put him one up on Tyler Birdd of Saint Anselm.

The Super Regional continues Friday with both Walter and Eaton teeing off in the early afternoon.
