Walter & Eaton Set to Represent Bentley in NCAA Super Regional

WALTHAM, Mass. – Senior Jared Walter (South Windsor, Conn./South Windsor HS) and sophomore Nelson Eaton (Groton, Vt./St. Johnsbury HS) will represent Bentley University at the 2023 NCAA Division II Atlantic/East Super Regional, which begins Thursday at the Iron Valley Golf Club in Lebanon, Pa. The 54-hole tournament will run through Saturday.
Walter and Eaton were two of four individuals selected from the East Regional. A total of 108 golfers will take part with the top three teams and the top two individuals not with an advancing team moving on to the NCAA Division II Championships later this month in Warren, Ohio.
On Thursday, Walter will tee off at 9:40 am and Eaton will follow at 10 am. They'll be among the last to go out on Friday with Walter scheduled for 1 pm and Eaton at 1:20. Live results will be posted on GolfStat.
Both players competed on the Iron Valley course last month during the regional preview. Walter, with a 77-71-148, tied for 11th among 132 competitors and Eaton posted an uncharacteristic 83-80-163.
For the season, Walter led Bentley with a 74.9 stroke average and Eaton followed with a 76.5 over 16 rounds.
Bentley has been represented at the Atlantic/East Super Regional annually since 2011, with the exception of the 2020 when it was cancelled. Walter is making his third appearance, having finished 53rd in 2021 (77-84-161) and 42nd last year (72-82-72-226).
