Bentley Finishes Day 1 of Yellow Jacket Invitational in 5th Place

BLOOMFIELD, Conn. – The Bentley University Falcons finished day one of American International's Yellow Jacket Invitational in fifth place after turning in a 302 Monday at the Wintonbury Hills Golf Course.

A total of ten teams are competing in the two-day tournament with Adelphi University at the top of the day one leaderboard with a 288. The Panthers own a six-stroke lead over Dominican University and are 11 up on both Merrimack College and Franklin Pierce University.

Bentley was led Monday by a trio of sophomores. Nelson Eaton (Groton, Vt./St. Johnsbury Acad.) is tied for 13th place following a four-over 74, and both Bennett Berg (Portland, Maine/Portland HS) and Chris Huban (Cohoes, N.Y./Albany Academy) are a stroke back in a tie for 16th.

There is a three-way tie for first at the tournament's midpoint with Merrimack's Patrick McCarthy, Adelphi's Alex Ramos and Franklin Pierce's Seth Saffell all posting an even-par 70.
