Stuart & Lynch Bentley’s Top Performers on Day 2 of NCAA Regional

VICTOR, N.Y. – Sophomore Aidan Stuart (Madison, Conn./Daniel Hand HS) and junior Kevin Lynch (Haddam, Conn./Xavier HS) were the top scorers for the Bentley University golf team during the second day of the 2022 NCAA Division II East/Atlantic Regional at the Ravenwood Golf Club Friday.

Each turned in a six-over-par 78 and each recorded three birdies. Both posted a four on the par-five, 523-yard sixth hole. Right behind those two was senior co-captain Matt Mackin (Westwood, Mass./Westwood HS) with a 79.

For the tournament, Bentley has been led by Lynch and junior Jared Walter (South Windsor, Conn./South Windsor HS). Each is tied for 63rd place with a 154 36-hole score.

Bentley, after a second-round 317, is 19th in the team standings with a two-day score of 624.

Heading into Saturday's final round, St. Thomas Aquinas is at the top of the standings with a four-stroke lead over Southern New Hampshire, 586-590. On the individual leaderboard, STAC's Nolan Skaggs has a one-stroke lead following a 70-72-142. One stroke back are Jordan Hyland (Davis & Elkins), Yadhu Urs (Wheeling) and AJ Cavotta (SNHU).

Bentley will be in the first group to tee off Saturday, from 7:30-8:10 am.
