WALTHAM, Mass. – Following an outstanding performance at the West Liberty Invitational, Bentley University junior Jared Walter (South Windsor, Conn./South Windsor HS) has been named the Men's Golfer of the Week in the Northeast-10 Conference.

Competing at the Palmer Course at Oglebay in Wheeling, W.V., Walter finished 24^th in a field of 78 with a 76-68-73-217. His three-under 68 in the second round was a collegiate career best, as was his 54-hole total score.

Walter has played 15 rounds in six tournaments this season with a team-best 74.7 stroke average. Earlier this spring, he was eighth of 66 in the Battle at the Beech in New Jersey and 39^th of 64 in The Trojan in North Carolina.

Bentley's spring schedule will continue Sunday and Monday with the NCAA Division II East/Atlantic Regional Showcase in Victor, N.Y.
