GREENSBORO, N.C. – Freshman Evan Desjardins (Salem, N.H./Salem HS) and junior Jared Walter (South Windsor, Conn./South Windsor HS) were Bentley University's top golfers during The Trojan, with the 54-hole tournament concluding Tuesday at the Walnut Creek Country Club.

Desjardins closed with an 81 and finished the tournament with a team-best 74-77-81-232, good for a tie for 35^th place in a field of 65.

Walter had a final-round 80 and tied for 39^th with a 72-81-80-233. Bentley's best third-round score was a 76 from senior Matt Macklin (Westwood/Westwood HS), who had a 54-hole score of 242.

Bentley, ranked seventh in the East Region, was ninth among ten teams with a 303-323-314-940. Barton overtook Flagler for the team title, edging the Saints by a single stroke, 864-865.

Medalist honors went to Flagler's Franco Piovano, who recorded a four-under 212 (70-70-72) and bested his teammate, Mauro Baez, by one.

Bentley's next tournament is the West Liberty Invitational next Monday and Tuesday.
