Laput Honored as NE10 Player of the Week for the 3rd Time

WALTHAM, Mass. – For the third time this season, Bentley University junior guard Zach Laput (Beacon Falls, Conn./Notre Dame HS) has been named the Northeast-10 Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week.

Laput earned his latest recognition Monday following a 1-1 week in which the conference's leading scorer produced 28 points, 5 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.5 steals a game while shooting .667 overall and making five of ten three-pointers.

After putting up 26 points in 23:42 against Saint Rose, Laput scored a career-high 30 points in a three-point road loss at Franklin Pierce Saturday. He's averaging 20.5 points and is also number one in the conference in total points (492), field goals (174) and free throws (105).

Laput, who was recently named to the Bevo Francis Top 50 Watch List by Small College Basketball, is also the number two scorer in the NCAA Division II East Region.

Bentley, 19-5, will host American International Tuesday night in the regular season finale.
