GARDEN CITY, N.Y. – Three different Falcons scored as the Bentley field hockey team beat Adelphi, 3-0, on the road Saturday afternoon. Bentley's defense didn't yield a shot on goal, allowing Erin McGuinness to record the shutout.
Libby Harrison got the scoring started in the second quarter off an assist from Gracie Moore. It was Harrison's fourth goal of the season. The Falcons carried that 1-0 lead into the midway point, but then scored twice in the second half.
McKenzie Carey beat the Adelphi goalie with an unassisted goal in the third quarter – her third of the season. In the final quarter, Emily Crowell scored on a penalty stroke. It was her second goal of the fall.
Bentley returns to Waltham to host Franklin Pierce Tuesday, Oct. 24.
