Waid earns second NE10 Offensive Player of the Week honor

WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley quarterback Mark Waid was named the Northeast-10 Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this season, the conference announced Monday.

Waid threw for a season-high 263 yards, and he ran for a game-high 105 yards, to lead the Falcon football team to a 31-6 triumph over Assumption Saturday (Nov. 4).

The graduate student completed 19 of 31 pass attempts and threw three touchdown passes. The biggest play of the game was an 86-yard touchdown pass to Abel Lopes Jr. in the second quarter.

Waid previously earned NE10 Offensive Player of the Week following his five-touchdown performance at American International College (Oct. 21). He currently ranks third in the NE10 for passing yards per game (148.8), and he is fifth in rushing yards per game (71.4).

Bentley travels to New Haven Saturday, Nov. 11, in a battle for the NE10 title. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m.
