Dashiell II & Lupoli Jr. Tabbed for NEFW Division II-III All-New England Team

WALTHAM, Mass. – Senior defensive end Cedie Dashiell II (Buena Park, Calif./Buena Park HS) and junior linebacker Salvatore Lupoli Jr. (Chelmsford/Chelmsford HS), both mainstays of a Bentley University defense that ranks amongst the best in Division II, have been named to the New England Football Writers Division II-III All-New England team.

Dashiell Jr., who previously received the accolade in both 2019 and 2021, was honored as the Defensive Player of the Year in the Northeast-10 Conference last week. The three-time first-team All-NE10 honoree recovered four fumbles this year and was in on 12.5 tackles for losses, including 10.5 sacks that resulted in losses totaling 101 yards.

Dashiell Jr. ranks fourth in Division II in forced fumbles and ninth in sacks per game. Among active Division II players, he is number one in career forced fumbles (11), third in sacks (30.5) and sack yards lost (230), and fourth in losses via TFL (280).

Dashiell Jr. is the third Falcon to earn NEFW Division II-III All-New England honors three times, following in the footsteps of Mark DeBrito (1997-99) and Ben Nassar (1996-98).

Lupoli, a first-time All-Northeast-10 honoree, leads the Northeast-10 and ranks 13th in Division II in tackles per game. The three-time Northeast-10 Defensive Player of the Week had at least ten tackles five times and finished the season with 101 stops, nearly double the amount of any teammate. He sacked the QB three times and also had two takeaways, one interception and one fumble recovery.

For his career, Lupoli has 214 tackles, three forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries and two interceptions. Last year, he was fourth in the NE10 in tackles.

Bentley finished the season with a 7-3 record.
