DeMartinis III Selected for ABCA/Rawlings Division II All-East Honors

WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley University sophomore left fielder Stan DeMartinis III (Boca Raton, Fla./American Heritage HS) has been named to the American Baseball Coaches Association/Rawlings Division II All-East Region second team following a standout season for the Falcons.

DeMartinis, in his first year at Bentley after transferring from Bryant University, had a slash line of .318/.441/.637 with his 50 hits including 13 doubles, two triples and 11 home runs. He scored 52 runs, drove in 49 and amassed 100 total bases, all team-leading totals.

DeMartinis, who was previously selected for the All-Northeast-10 second team, led the conference in being hit by pitches (14) and was also second in sacrifice flies (6), sixth in slugging percentage and RBI, and seventh in home runs. His power numbers were the best by a Falcon in over 20 years.

DeMartinis had 12 multi-RBI games, including five against Saint Rose April 25 and four against Alliance March 16. He launched his Bentley career with two home runs against Assumption February 24.

Bentley, in Mike Hill's first season as head coach, finished with a 23-22 overall record and advanced to the Northeast-10 championship weekend.
